Notification Preferences
Configure which notifications you receive in your inbox and by email.
The Notification Preferences page lets you control which types of notifications you receive and through which channels. You can toggle notifications independently for your in-app inbox and email.
Accessing Notification Preferences
- Click Settings in the sidebar navigation.
- Select Notifications.
Notification Channels
Levelup delivers notifications through two channels:
- In-App Notifications -- Appear in your notification inbox within the platform. These are accessible from the Inbox page.
- Email Notifications -- Sent to the email address associated with your account.
You can enable or disable each channel independently for every notification category.
Notification Categories
Preferences are organized by category. Each category can be toggled on or off for in-app and email delivery:
| Category | What It Covers |
|---|---|
| Sharing | Company sharing invites and access changes |
| Integrations | Connection status and sync updates |
| Security | Login alerts and password changes |
| Billing | Invoices and subscription updates |
| System | Announcements and maintenance notices |
| Account | Profile and account updates |
How to Toggle Preferences
- On the Notification Preferences page, you will see two panels: In-App Notifications and Email Notifications.
- Each panel lists all six categories with a toggle switch.
- Flip the switch next to a category to enable or disable it.
- Changes save automatically -- you will see a confirmation when each preference is saved.
Bulk Enable or Disable
At the top of each notification panel, there is an Enable all or Disable all link:
- Click Enable all to turn on notifications for every category in that channel.
- Click Disable all to turn off all categories in that channel.
Important Notes
- Security notifications are always sent regardless of your preferences. Login alerts and password change notifications cannot be disabled for your protection.
- Global email override: Your organization administrator may disable all outgoing email notifications at the system level. If this is active, you will see a warning banner on the preferences page. Your email preferences are saved but will not take effect until the administrator re-enables emails.
- Preference precedence: The global email disable flag takes priority over your individual preferences. Within your control, your per-category settings determine what you receive.
